Over the course of the past decade, museums have exploited video and live streaming for various audience engagement and development tactics. Recently, live video streaming has been attempted by a myriad of museums in three major ways:
1) To give a real-time look at exhibitions and guided tours
2) To let everyone participate live in special events
3) To allow interested parties to check the status of a collection at any time through Web Cams
