Lesly Ceballos

Second Year MAM (’18)

Lesly is a second-year graduate student in the Master of Arts Management program in Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. She grew up in Los Angeles county where she discovered her passion as a Mexican folk dancer. Lesly later pursued a B.A. in Theatre Production at California State University, Fullerton. After graduation, she worked professionally in theatre, film, and the entertainment industries for over five years, specializing in makeup design and costuming operations. Lesly's interest in arts management is derived from working in both management and artistic roles. She is eager to learn how arts organizations can improve their fundraising, advocacy, and marketing efforts with the intersection of technology.

Jana Fredricks

First Year MAM (’19)

Jana is pursuing a joint Masters degree in the Arts Management program in Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and Innovation and Organization in Culture and the Arts at the University of Bologna. She received her BFA in Drama from NYU in 2011. For the past seven years, she has split her time between New York, where she pursued theatre production and event management, and New Orleans, where she worked as a teaching artist in the public and charter education system.


Annesha Ganguly

Second Year MAM (’18)

Annesha Ganguly is a current Master of Arts Management student at the J. Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University. Trained in Indian classical music, Annesha is primarily interested in programming and digital marketing for the performing arts. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Literature in India, she worked with the British Council in India. She has a passion for cooking, dogs, and all things marketing.

Beth Geatches

Second Year MAM ('18)

Beth is a second-year Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Film Studies, and worked as an engineering project manager for a few years while performing and producing theatre, improv, and sketch comedy in Oklahoma. Last summer she worked at Chicago Shakespeare Theater as Project Management Intern on the Shakespeare in the Parks tour, and currently she serves as Development Intern at Pittsburgh's City Theatre.

Dove Haase

First Year MSPPM ('19)

Dove is a first-year student in the Master of Science in Public Policy & Management program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. She was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and received her BBA in marketing from The University of Iowa, where she also studied calligraphy, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit management. Prior to attending Heinz College, she worked in social services and higher education as Program Director and Donor Relations Manager. She is passionate about arts education, arts organizations as a vehicle for economic development, and helping nonprofits leverage data effectively.


Liz Kane

Second Year MAM ('18)

Liz is a second-year Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. Originally from Boston, she studied French Horn Performance at Ithaca College. Her appreciation of technology grew out of using it to improve practice techniques and out of a love for new music. She applied this knowledge working for Boston Ballet and the Portland Symphony Orchestra in Maine, among others. This past summer she worked for the Aspen Music School & Festival. She hopes to work in general management for symphonies, overseeing how these classical institutions can maintain their artistic focus, while embracing how technology and advancement can improve their operations.

Gillian Kim

Second Year MAM ('18)

 

Gillian graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double major in Communication Arts and Visual Arts. During her Junior year, she studied abroad in London, building visual analysis and exhibition management skills. She is particularly interested in the public accessibility to the arts, and is eager to learn more about integrating arts and technology to enhance audience engagement with the arts. Currently, she is a research and marketing intern with the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and pursuing a Master of Arts Management Degree at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College.

Santiago Martinez

First Year MAM ('19)

Santiago is an Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University with experience in managing independent music, artists, and audience development. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, he obtained an undergraduate degree in music. He hopes to use the arts as a tool for social transformation.



Hannah Nowicki

Hannah is a second year Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University and an alumna of the School of Music, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in French and Francophone Studies. Hannah is interested in marketing, data analytics and hopes to work in the performing arts. Currently, she is a Marketing and Communications Intern with Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Allison Pichowicz

Second Year MAM ('18)

Allison is a second-year Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College focusing on arts marketing. Growing up in Northern New Jersey, she took advantage of her proximity to New York City and frequented the student rush lines of many on and off-Broadway shows. This experience inspired her to study arts administration and theater at Elon University. Her interests include digital marketing, accessibility, and promoting underserved voices in the entertainment industry. She has previously interned at American Repertory Theater, Scorpio Entertainment/Commercial Theater Institute, Premiere Stages, and Girl Be Heard. Additionally, she has produced two sold-out cabaret showcases and Feinstein's/54 Below for the Elon Music Theatre Classes of 2016 and 2017. Allison looks forward to marketing new plays and musicals after graduation (and maybe even winning the Hamilton lottery.)

Drew Porter

Second Year MAM ('18)

Drew is a second year Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University and current Chief Editor of Interactive Content for AMT Lab. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in performance and technical theater he spent several years working in theater administration. A hobbyist-level enthusiasm for technology drove him to AMT Lab. Drew intends to study the intersection of the Arts and Tech as it applies to museums.

Kara Post

Second Year MAM ('18)

Kara is a second year Master of Arts Management student at Heinz College. Prior to graduate work she attended Duke University where she studied Psychology and Theater. Her work experience includes internships at Florida Grand Opera, and The Center for Contemporary Opera. Kara currently works for Chautauqua Theater Company as the conservatory alumni coordinator. After graduation, she hopes to work for general management in artist residencies. 


Kate Tsai

Kate is a second year Master of Arts Management student in Heinz College, Carnegie Mellon University ('18). She received her undergraduate degree in Economics at National Taiwan University. Before graduate school, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Economics Department at Academia Sinica in Taiwan. She has worked at Weiber Consulting as a marketing and PR intern last summer. Kate is interested in visual arts and loves data analytics, and hopes to work in marketing or research.

 

 

 


Jon Weber

Second Year MAM ('18)

Jon is a graduating Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon’s H. John Heinz III College of Information Systems and Public Policy Management (Class of 2018). A native of the Pittsburgh area, he studied Art History and Finance at the University of Pittsburgh and has worked for several private art galleries for the duration. Jon’s appreciation for technology in the arts was largely inspired by his most recent internship with the National Portrait Gallery, Office of Collections Information, with the Smithsonian Institution where he contributed toward data collection and administration for the Catalog of American Portraits. This experience has left him very curious of the future of museum collection’ resources and how these tools may be applied in the for-profit sector, or vice-versa. Jon is particularly interested in crowd-sourcing, open-linking, and material culture collections’ metadata.

 


 

Taylor Wilkerson

Taylor is a second-year Master of Arts Management student at Carnegie Mellon University and is originally from Los Angeles, CA. She received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Design & Production at UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television in 2011. Professionally, she has worked as both a stage manager and an administrative coordinator at many different non-profit organizations in both the performing arts and human services sectors. Some notable workplaces include My Friend's Place in Los Angeles, Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City, and City Theatre in Pittsburgh. She is currently working as the student Executive Director of Future Tenant, a multi-disciplinary art gallery serving emerging artists and arts managers throughout Pttsburgh. Her interests include all things tech, arts marketing, graphic design, all kinds of theatrical design, and modern art.
