News Roundup: Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads, Artists Database
We here at AMT Lab know that keeping up with the news can almost become a full-time job. So, we rounded up some of the top stories in arts and tech for you. Here are some things you should know that happened over the past few weeks:
Facebook has revitalized its measurement partnerships, expanding existing relationships with Nielsen and comScore and adding Double Verify. The updates include measurement of more markets (up to 25 worldwide by Nielsen), a more robust measure of video impressions, and a Marketing Mix portal.
YouTube will soon be devoid of those unskippable 30-second ads before videos. Starting in 2018, long adverts for the popular video-sharing site will no longer have to be watched in full before proceeding to content. Google has not announced any changes to rules regarding shorter formats.
Women Who Draw, a database of female illustrators, relaunched earlier this year. It is a free-to-use directory hoping to increase the visibility of female illustrators, artists, and cartoonists. The database includes a 'favorite' feature to keep track of artists you'd most like to work with, and artists have the option to publicly identify as minorities so you can easily find the representative voice you are looking for.
