ToDoist: An App to Manage Your To-Do List Anytime, Anywhere

Are you looking for a new way to organize daily checklists and enhance productivity without compromising your unique workflow? Ranked by Forbes as the #1 to-do list app for 2014, ToDoist may be just the tool you’ve been looking for.

ToDoist is a to-do list and task manager, good for both personal checklists and businesses managing work across teams.  The app has many features that help it integrate with a user’s unique lifestyle and workflow. To-dos are sorted into digital checklists which can be added to, referenced, and checked-off for completion at any time. Gone are the days of post-it notes and notebooks, restricted to one medium and location. ToDoist moves with its user, syncing to a computer, phone, and email to become a seamlessly present productivity enhancer.

Sync to all your devices. ToDoist is on 15 different platforms including Mac, Windows, and Android, and has extensions for web browsers and email. ToDoist can be at a user’s side anywhere and anytime, helping him or her get the most productivity out of the day. Wherever the inspiration for a new to-do might come from—while commuting to work or reading through emails—ToDoist is just one click away. This smooth integration into a user’s preferred platforms keeps ToDoist instantly accessible, letting users add to-dos without having to change programs or pull out a pen and paper.

Adapt to your workflow. After adding to-dos to an inbox in ToDoist, users can arrange and categorize the tasks in a way that best complements their personal workflow. Tasks can be assigned deadlines, prioritized, and tagged with customizable labels. Within the inbox, tasks can be viewed in a list sorted by date, priority, or name, and visualized into a digital checklist. More advanced sorting systems include viewing tasks in a calendar format, by project, or by label. These many options allow the user to focus on the tasks for the day, a particular project, or just one filter at a time.

Connect with your team. While all the aforementioned features are free, ToDoist recently launched a paid version of the popular app catered towards businesses. At an annual price of $29 USD per user, ToDoist for Business maintains the original app’s operating capability while upgrading to include additional tools to facilitate collaboration. Parallel to the free app, team members have a shared team inbox where team members can add, customize, and label tasks for other members to see. ToDoist for Business also allows for added written details or voice notes under tasks, and the ability to upload files and pictures. Team members are synced into the project’s progress in real time, and each member can easily update the team on his or her progress while in the office or on the run.  ToDoist for Business has additional security as well, automatically backing up on the hour.

ToDoist’s seamless integration into a user’s preferred digital platforms and devices and its multiple ways to customize task sorting and display are notable strengths. No matter a user’s preference for organizing checklists, ToDoist can help enhance productivity, organization, and efficiency both in one’s own work and a team’s.
