Using Data in Arts Education Advocacy
How can we ensure that all students, especially those in underserved areas, get equitable access to arts education? That question is at the heart of Jeff Poulin’s work. As Arts Education Manager for Americans for the Arts, Jeff has trained over 10,000 advocates in all 50 states, working to empower local, state and federal supporters of arts education. Jeff Poulin joined the arts education team at Americans for the Arts in 2013, and he was instrumental in the publication of the 2014 National Core Arts Standards.
AMTlab contributor Rod Gingrich sat down with Jeff to discuss how data impacts advocacy work, and what today’s political landscape means for arts advocates. You can listen to the podcast above, or follow our biweekly podcast series via iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher.
