I can't remember where I first heard this lovely bit of advice, but I figured I'd pass it on (especially since one of my New Year's resolutions is to make silly pictures of myself more often). When looking at your organization's Web presence, it sometimes helps to ask yourself, "Would a man from Mars understand this? Would he be able to figure out what we're about?"
If a casual, first glance at your home page does not make it clear what your organization does or where a visitor can find needed information, then it might be time for an overhaul.
